It all started with a bouquet of white roses. I was sentimental about them and had to find a way to make them last forever.
I really love creating. I am a creative person. It is how I have been designed, it is in my DNA. Don’t ask me about maffs, all you’ll get is a deer in headlights.
I’ve been working with petals for quite a few years now, trying to figure out how and what works. There has been a lot of experimenting to a point where my tiny Cape Town apartment, looked like a science laboratory.
Then there were the fails – oh my word, there were loads – and all the different mediums like ceramics, glass, paintings, drawings – the list is endless and continuing.
It is important that I say this because I did not do this alone. Without Ryan, I would be nowhere. He has put in a lot of groundwork on with the technical side of things and quite literally, holding my hand every step of the way to meetings and through stressful moments – I am so grateful for him.
Ingrini Jewellery is handmade with love using real petals found in Holland, other natural elements and assembled with parts sourced from France, Denmark, and the Czech Republic. Each piece is unique. No two pieces will ever be the same. Each one has its’ own Certificate of Authentication including a description of petals and material parts used.
The story of Ingrini has been a 3-year journey that I can’t wait to turn into many more. I have so many plans and can’t wait to do them all.
