It literally feels like I blinked a few times and 2018 was over.
Saying that I’m not sad about it. I learned so much I feel thoroughly prepared for 2019 and for that I want to say thank you.
I’m going to keep things short and sweet, but I want to plant 3 little seeds that I hope will grow in all of us this year: forgiveness, forgetting and moving forward.
2018 was not such a great year for everyone and I’m really sorry if it turned your life upside down. I want to remind you, you are not alone. Everyone else around you, every single person in this world, has also had horrendously horrible days. People do and will understand if you not feeling up to much. We are allowed to grieve, we only human. It’s how we handle those stressful days (even though they nearly kill us) that define and shape us at the end. We learn and become a whole lot stronger. Then when we finally let go, it opens our eyes to what matters most.
You are the only one who can change your life, no one can do it for you.
It’s so true. This applies to everything. It is up to you. Whether or not you want to be shackled down by pain or grudges is a decision only you can make. I’m not saying it doesn’t hurt like hell, but all the drama between friends, a horrible job, the assh*le weighing you down, weight, finances etc. are elements that you can change. It can be different. It can get better. And most importantly, it will. Letting go is the first step to designing a better life for you. Everything else will fall into place.
So with that said, even though I’m slightly late, I want to wish everyone a year filled with many blessings and special memories. May 2019 be a fresh start to new beginnings.
Make every second count with loved ones, time is so precious.
PS: here are a few photos I took of beautiful Holland in 2018
