If there’s one thing I’m sure we’d all agree on is that finding a gift for him is almost always, one hell of an undertaking.
What do you get? Will he really like it?
Men are generally easy going when it comes to their own gifts – and that makes finding the right gift even harder. There are lots of things money can buy, but there’s also a lot it can’t. Sentimental Value.
Stationary is always a winner. Everyone likes nice stationary and you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg neither. All you need is a small amount of time (and a notebook obviously) to make this special and inexpensive gift.
DIY Personalized Notebook and Pen – For Him
For the cover, I splashed black paint onto an A3 size paper (the book is A5 size) and used a stencil for the wording. Make it personal, think of an expression/song that’s special to the two of you. We have a thing for the word, Dibs.
– Tip –
- to dry the paint quickly, softly press/dab another paper on top – adds a nice texture to your splashes too.
- for added protection, cover the book in plastic – also a nice finishing touch.
I found pens in Action, but have seen pens like these almost everywhere. The idea is to take them apart, remove the image inside and add your own. I used washi tape for the one and permanent black marker on the other.
– Final Touch –
Randomly place photos, sayings and/or quotes inside.
Did he like it?
He loved it.
