This is one of those real-life, honest DIYs – that almost took a turn for the worst.
I had envisioned a beautiful white little dollhouse with hand-drawn mandalas, illuminating from the inside.
The problem was, I was too excited. I didn’t give myself enough time to plan the steps ahead and followed the instructions as is. What I should have done was put it together, mark top and bottom on each piece, dismantle, paint and reassemble. At one point I thought there was no turning back and that it would be a complete fail. BUT fortunately I found Panduro Gloss White Titanium Acrylic paint and it like, seriously saved the day. What’s not shown in the video is the first paint fail – I was using the wrong paint. The Panduro Gloss White Titanium Acrylic paint completely covered up my mistake and I could start again on a clean, fresh canvas.
This is definitely a project I will be repeating soon. Despite all the challenges I learned a lot, pulled through, made a plan B and finished what I started – the next round will be perfect : )
Make sure you use fake, battery-powered candles – I don’t know what I was thinking otherwise #facepalm.
